Created for the ARTECHOUSE Beyond the Light Show in DC and NYC. A collaboration between artists, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the James Webb Telescope team.
Beyond the Light, an original artistic expression of scientific discoveries, is the story of how human innovation has enabled us to see beyond our imaginations and into the furthest reaches of the cosmos.

Primordial Waves
Primordial Waves is an ancestral dream journey, evoking humans' early relationship with the universe. A cosmic wave pattern of stories and visions, illuminating the deep uncharted territories of space and time.
The Observatory
As time passes our understanding of the universe evolves. Cosmically aligned observatories focus our understanding of light. Multiple theories and universe models create an ever changing tapestry of recorded knowledge. A flowing array of Creation myths, Cosmological calendars, and theories of light flicker to life.
Schematics
The dawn of the modern age brings new advancements in tool building. Schematic tapestries of light and knowledge display the inner beauty of the machines and inventions that expanded our frontiers of discovery.
Mission Control
Mission control as towering pillars of illuminated knowledge and discovery. Key moments of the 20th century flicker to life in analogue film reels. Control surfaces shimmer with cascading lights, evoking the energy and excitement of this era.
GATEWAY
An explosion of refractive light wavelengths signify the transition to the digital era. The electromagnetic hum of the universe visualized into filmic kaleidoscopic stars and planets, lighting the way to undiscovered territories.
